F3A Sport is an entry class into aerobatics. It’s meant to be easy enought for pilots with average flying skills. There are no special requirements for planes; a normal trainer with ailerons is a good starting point.
Rules
- There should be minimum two competitors for a competition
- The competition is one day event, either as its own event or held together with national FAI/Nordic competitions
- Model aircraft and its power source are free with following limitations:
- Fullsize 2x2m F3A planes are not permitted.
- The model aircraft must take-off unassisted, no hand launched flights.
- All the safety requlations must be met.
- Three rounds are flown, with the best two to determine the final classification.
- The total flight time is limited into 8 minutes including the starting time.
- The appereance and performance of the model aircraft is not judged in any way.
- The direction of rolls (left or right) is the competitor’s choice.
- Take off and landing are awarded either zero or ten points.
